Sweet in the Bec & Bridge Sweet Pea Dress

To put it simply, I love pink. To add to this is my love for Australian designers, one being Bec & Bridge. Of course the Bec & Bridge Sweet Pea dress is a piece that I am loving.

Firstly is the round neckline, at first I was feeling insecure due to being flat chested. However, it is incredibly flattering. Additionally are the sleeves! I am a sucker for a stunning sleeve and these sleeves are the best balance between striking but subtle.  A slight cap sleeve billows into a sleeve that sits just above your shoulders. The puff sleeve completely adds a whole other element to this dress. The tuck detailing on the sleeves and skirt create a point of difference and super cute detailing. In addition to these elements is the small cut out detailing that runs across the sternum. This for me breaks up the dress completely and is a much needed design element. Being 5ft1 length for me is always an issue. But the Bec & Bridge Sweet Pea Dress is the perfect mini dress length.

Keeping the styling super simple I went with the Tony Bianco Sienna heel and a black YSL clutch. Of course I went with my Saint Laurent Arty Ovale Ring which is by far my signature ring. For me this dress is such a light pink that nude may be a tad clashy. Black allows for the pink to pop so much more as it stands out completely against the black. This dress is ideal for Spring races, a Sunday sesh or an event like a birthday.

Be sure to take a look at The Only Dress Hire, an Australian based designer dress rental company. Brands from Zimmermann, Thurley, Bec & Bridge to name a few. The perfect alternative for your next event or special occasion!
